Why The Young Bucks’ New ROH Deal is Monumental
As noted, The Young Bucks have signed a one year, exclusive North American deal with Ring of Honor, that still allows them to work for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
There are several reasons why The Bucks’ new deal with ROH is major landmark on the indy scene, and below are a few notable terms.
According to The Wrestling Observer, PWG is the one promotion The Bucks insisted they still be able to work with in North America, and ROH agreed to the term. No other contracted ROH stars, like The Briscoes, Adam Cole, ACH, Bobby Fish, Jay Lethal and others are allowed to work for other promotions.
The Bucks also retain merchandising rights and get to keep their official t-shirt store with Pro Wrestling Tees. No other ROH contracted talents are allowed to have PTW stores.
The new deal shows that ROH parent company, Sinclair Broadcasting, is willing to spend big money on exclusive talent deals.
