Report: Vince McMahon Seeking As Much As $9 Billion For WWE Sale

Vince McMahon is looking to make a big profit from a possible sale of WWE.

According to a new report from Bloomberg, people familiar with Vince McMahon believe he is looking to get “as much as $9 billion” in the potential sale of WWE. It was noted that WWE has already received offers from interested parties looking to buy the company, according to sources. WWE declined to comment on the Bloomberg story.

Bloomberg noted several potential suitors including Endeavor Group Holdings Inc., the owner of Ultimate Fighting Championship, as well as a Middle East-based group. Last month, WWE CEO Nick Khan denied a report that WWE had a deal in place to sell to a Saudi Arabian group, calling the report “100% false.”

More recently, Khan told CNBC that Vince McMahon would be willing to step away from the company for the right buyer, and he believed it would be a quick process. McMahon originally retired in July 2022 amid an internal investigation into alleged sexual misconduct and hush money payments, but he returned to the WWE Board of Directors on January 6. McMahon was voted the Executive Chairman of the Board on January 10 and he stated that his return focused on the negotiations for a new WWE media rights deal and a potential sale.
