Batista: I’m Trying To Be Part Of The WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony This Year

Dave Bautista, formerly known as Batista in WWE, is hopeful that he’ll get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Batista was previously announced as the headlining member of the Hall of Fame class in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was delayed until WrestleMania 37 in 2021, and the former WWE Champion was unable to participate due to other obligations. At the time, Batista noted that, per his request, WWE would induct him at a ceremony in the future.

Speaking with Liam Crowley of ComicBook.com, “The Animal” commented on his status for the Hall of Fame. He made it clear that he’s trying to be part of the ceremony, but he can’t say for sure.

“I hope so, but I can’t say for sure,” Batista said. “I can say that I’m trying. I am trying.”

Batista is a two-time WWE Champion and a four-time World Heavyweight Champion. He also held the tag team titles four times throughout his career, and he won the Royal Rumble in both 2005 and 2014. “The Animal” retired after he lost to Triple H at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

In recent years, Bautista has been focused on his career in Hollywood. He stars in Knock at the Cabin, and he is one of the main characters in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will premiere on May 5.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
