Mercedes Monè, formerly known as Sasha Banks, will challenge for the gold at NJPW Battle in the Valley.
On January 4, Monè made her NJPW debut by confronting IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI, who had just defended the title against Tam Nakano. Monè attacked KAIRI and raised the title as she issued the challenge for a match at NJPW Battle in the Valley.
NJPW has confirmed that the two stars will clash at the February 18 event

After the world was abuzz with speculation, Mercedes Moné made her first appearance in an NJPW ring last night at Wrestle Kingdom 17, challenging KAIRI for the IWGP Women’s Championship.
That match has now been made official, for Battle in the Valley in the San Jose Civic!
This is only the first match on what is going to be a loaded card top to bottom February 18!
