Mercedes Monè (Sasha Banks): I Am On A World Domination Tour

Mercedes Monè (Sasha Banks) says she’s taking over.

As widely rumored and reported, Monè indeed showed up at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17. She attacked IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI and challenged her to a match at NJPW Battle in the Valley. While a previous report noted that Monè’s NJPW deal included a STARDOM show, she teased that she has more plans in store.

At Monè’s portion of the post-show press conference, she stated that NJPW was her first stop, and she’s on a world domination tour.

“I am Mercedes Monè, and I am the CEO of New Japan and STARDOM’s women’s division,” Monè said. “This is only just my first stop because I’m on a world domination tour. I know everybody is so jealous of Japan. You guys are so lucky to have me first.”

During her time with WWE, Banks was a Grand Slam Champion, as she held the RAW Women’s Championship (five times), the SmackDown Women’s Championship (once), and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship (three times). Banks and her tag team partner Naomi walked out of the May 16 episode of WWE RAW, and they were suspended indefinitely. In December, multiple outlets reported that Varnado had reached an agreement with NJPW.
