AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 11/2, Demo Drops As Well

AEW Dynamite viewership saw a decrease on November 2, which was headlined by Samoa Joe defending the Ring of Honor Television Championship against Brian Cage.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 911,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.29 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was down from the October 26 episode when 997,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.32 rating in the same demographic.

With the decrease in viewership, AEW Dynamite took the third spot in the demographic among cable originals overall last night. While not on cable, Dynamite went head-to-head with Game 4 of the World Series between the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies. As far as cable goes, they were defeated by ESPN’s coverage of NBA Basketball, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s show kicked off with the rematch from last month between Darby Allin and Jay Lethal. Following the match, Jeff Jarrett made his All Elite Wrestling debut. The main event saw Samoa Joe defeat Brian Cage by submission to retain the Ring of Honor Television Championship. Following the match, The Embassy attacked Joe and Wardlow came out to save him. This led to Powerhouse Hobbs once again attacking Wardlow and laying him out to close the show.
