Malakai Black and the House of Black is back, at least to an extent.
On the November 2 episode of AEW Dynamite, a vignette for the group aired, marking the first time it has appeared on AEW TV in recent weeks. In the video, Julia Hart seemingly laid her stablemates (Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King) to rest; one body was put in water, while another was set on fire. Near the end of the clip, the narrator said, “All must end so that all can suffer anew.” The bodies then came out of their respective resting places, and Malakai Black appeared on the screen.

Black has been absent since he, Matthews, and King lost to Sting, Darby Allin, and Miro at AEW All Out in September. Black subsequently stated that he needed some time away from wrestling, though he noted that he’d return soon. He also denied reports that he had requested his release from AEW.
King and Matthews last competed on AEW Rampage: Grand Slam, where they lost to Sting and Allin.
