Sting and Muta reunited on AEW Rampage: Grand Slam in September, where the latter saved his former foe from the House of Black. The two men have wrestled all over the world together, dating back to Sting’s days in WCW. “The Icon” is set to participate in The Great Muta’s final match in January, though specific details about the bout haven’t been announced yet.

“Muta has transcended wrestling,” Sting said. “He became a household name in Japan and America. Even [at Grand Slam], people remembered him. He was worried about that. ‘Will they remember?’ he asked me, and I said, ‘Of course, they’ll definitely remember.’
