Sasha Banks and Naomi have not been seen inside a WWE ring since the pair infamously walked out of a WWE SmackDown showing in May 2022. While their situation is still up in the air, legendary superstar Charlotte Flair doesn’t think she’s seen the last of Banks.
Speaking during a recent appearance on ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions, Flair was asked about the pairs walkout. While Flair said she couldn’t really speak for WWE, she did note that she can’t really see herself never working with them — especially Sasha Banks — again.
“One, I haven’t been there because I left after Backlash, and I know what it’s like to jump on social media and read these headlines that are so far from the truth,” Flair said. “So I don’t know what happened, but what I can say is I can’t imagine never wrestling Sasha again. That would be hard for me to compartmentalize because we started together. She is my Ricky Steamboat. My dad always tells her that…For me, I can’t imagine not working with them, but in terms of what they’re going through, it’s not my place to speak on behalf of the company or them because I’m not there right now.”
Since their departure, a variety of rumors have popped up regarding the pair, with reports noting both that Banks and Naomi had been released, as well as reports stating the pair had agreed to return to the company. It’s unclear what their status is now, however, so fans and Charlotte Flair will just have to continue hoping for a return sooner rather than later.
