Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Excellent Bouts, Excellent Build”

MizTV With Daniel Bryan

wwe rawDaniel Bryan is introduced to his home crowd in Washington. The crowd erupts and chants his name. Miz gets the crowd to quiet down and Bryan thanks Miz for having him on his show. Daniel Bryan said he did not come here to be on MizTV. He said he was never going to miss Raw in his homeland of Washington state. Seahawks chant happens and Miz says he is a Browns fan. Daniel Bryan says he likes to take credit for his success and then talks about his Christmas movie coming out.

Daniel says it is tough and is busy with writing a book, which he plugs. He also talks about Tough Enough. Miz talks about his wisdom and good looks being on Tough Enough. They focus on the injury and brings up Ryback doing the right thing, to vacate the championship and give the title to him. Big Show’s music hits and out comes the giant. Big Show says there is crap coming out of his mouth and he still has white teeth. Ryback’s music hits and out comes the champ. He stands off with Ryback, as Miz ducks out. Daniel Bryan throws The Miz in the ring, between both men. They attack him and Show goes to work. Ryback hits a spear and a clothesline. He and Daniel Bryan are in the ring with Miz. Ryback hits a clothesline on Miz and stands tall.

WWE is smart at times. This was one of those times. They give the hometown crowd their hometown boy and have him help get the return of Ryback over. It just felt so important to have Bryan with Ryback. Ryback lost ZERO steam and their Triple Threat Match should be entertaining. With so many pieces and differing skill set, I look for a good outing from all three men. I always bash Big Show, but his limitations in the ring will be hidden here. Think of Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show at WrestleMania 25. Ryback is the muscle like Cena and Miz is very crafty and opportunistic like Edge. It should be fun to see how it all plays out.

Stephen Amell Killed It

I am not sure what it was, but Amell was great tonight. I will admit that I was not excited because I simply did not know anything about him other than being on a show on the CW. He jumped the barricade and attacked Stardust. He cut a scatching promo with Triple H backstage and was excellent. He quickly made me want to see what else he can do in the ring and this is a really good way to introduce him. It may be a one-time thing, but it should be interesting.

Side note: Why King Barrett and Stardust? And, who here forgot King Barrett was actually a thing? I know I did.
