Bayley wanted to add strength in numbers.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Bayley was asked about the potential for Damage CTRL to gain new members. Bayley said that she initially wanted more people in the group, but explained why it didn’t happen.
“See, we’re so far in now… if you were to ask me at first, I wanted five,” Bayley said.
“I’ve sent a few pitches in the past, and [Triple H] is like, ‘Just relax. You guys need to get established first.’ It’s like, you’re right. We do,” she said. “There’s still so much for us to show the world and establish ourselves first and get excited.”
Asked who she wanted to add, Bayley was not keen on giving any names up.
“I don’t want to give it away. I have people in mind, but if it happens, because I still would like it to happen, I don’t want to give it away.”
Bayley wouldn’t give specifics, but she did say she still believes it’s possible and said it’s people that are on the roster now.
Damage CTRL is currently part of the RAW brand. Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Becky Lynch and Lita on February 27.
