Shane Strickland is soon to be a free agent and he’s fully embracing one of his old identities quite literally. In a new trailer released by the man himself, a hooded Strickland is shown riding passenger in a business suit firing an automatic weapon akin that paints a very Pretty Boy Floyd picture.

Back before being signed by WWE, Strickland wrestled in Lucha Underground as a wrestler known as “Killshot.” Although the TV series is no more, Major League Wrestling picked up the mantle by creating MLW Azteca and utilizing it’s former on-air promoter Dario Cueto. Cueto, however, now goes under the alias Cesar Duran and there has been plenty of references and callbacks to Lucha Underground, most recently including an easter egg for the aforementioned Killshot. Strickland has strong ties to MLW as he became their first champion after the company returned in 2018. Strickland initially signed with WWE back in March of 2019. While in NXT as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Strickland won the North American Title and was eventually called up to SmackDown with his Hit Row faction before being released on November 18.
