Bobby Lashley On Battle For Brand Supremacy: You Don’t Need To Be On A Brand For Long To Care About It

To Bobby Lashley, WWE Survivor Series is about brand supremacy, plain and simple.

Heading into the pay-per-view on November 21, fans and wrestlers alike have criticized the show’s branding as a battle for brand supremacy. Specifically, this conversation has centered around the way that the majority of the respective members of the men’s Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown bout were on opposite brands a little over a month ago has been a point of contention.

But “The All Mighty”, who will represent WWE RAW on Sunday, believes that his teammates and his opponents in the brand vs. brand tag team bout will proudly fight for the show they current call home.

Lashley shared this stance in a new interview with Josh Martinez of Z100. He acknowleged that Seth Rollins, the self-proclaimed leader of Team RAW, is coming off a lengthy run on SmackDown, but the former WWE Champion dismissed any notion that Superstars carry any loyalty for their former brands. At the end of the day, they’re fighting for bragging rights, both in the present and going forwadrd.

“I think everybody, since they made the change, they’re gonna be battling for where they’re at right now,” said Lashley. “I mean because Seth [Rollins] was on RAW before, and then he went to SmackDown, then he’s back on RAW. So there’s no loyalty to where you used to be.

“The loyalty is where’re at right now. Because after RAW, or the Survivor Series this Sunday, it’s right back to being our show. So we need [the] bragging rights. And wherever you’re at right now, that’s where you’re gonna be fighting for, and that’s where you’re gonna be talking trash after it’s all over.”

Following the changes caused by the 2021 WWE Draft, Lashley could be viewed as one of the faces of WWE RAW; he has been on the brand for the duration of his run with the company since his return in 2018. In the interview, “The All Mighty” certainly seemed like a team captain when he stated that the red brand is better than its blue counterpart.

“SmackDown’s already been trying to talk some trash, [and] they got FOX behind them, [with] FOX talking trash on it,” said Lashley. “But ultimately man, we’re gonna see who’s the best of the best, and I think RAW has always been the best.”

Fans will find out which show truly is superior by the end of WWE Survivor Series on November 21.
