The debate for who the greatest wrestler of all time is will be one that rages for all eternity, but recently, All Elite Wrestling superstar Jon Moxley made the case for a surprising superstar to be given the title.
Speaking to Bleacher Report’s Haris Kruskic (transcription via Cageside Seats), Moxley said that for his money, Chris Jericho has a very good case at being one of wrestlings all-time greats.
“You can’t ever really pick a greatest of all time in wrestling, it’s just too long of a discussion, there’s just too many people on the list,” he said. “But for me, for my money, Chris Jericho is really making a case for being the greatest of all time. He’s done it in the 90s, and the 2000s, and the last two decades, he’s doing it again, he’s doing something completely new, and breaking new barriers still here in 2020 in AEW.”
Of course, many will both agree and disagree with Moxley, but he does make a strong point. Jericho’s success and longevity have kept him in the conversation as best wrestler for some time, so it’s only fair he gets some consideration as the greatest. Whether or not he’s deserving of the title is a debate for another time, but Moxley has at least made some solid points.
