Despite the announcement that Tye Dillinger was healthy to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura tonight, his hand injury is far worse than expected and will have to undergo surgery.
Dillinger was slated to face Nakamura in a United States Championship match for SmackDown Live, proclaiming he was healthy after a conversation with Paige on Twitter. The news broke earlier that he would be unable to compete due to the hand injury he suffered at a live event last night.

The Perfect 10 was originally scheduled to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Championship on SmackDown LIVE, but was forced to withdraw after being injured during a WWE Live Event on Monday night.

This is a crushing blow for Dillinger as he was in the middle of being used prominently on SmackDown’s midcard. May he recover quickly as he undergoes surgery.
