Naito Announces New LIJ Member

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Tetsuya Naito announced that Los Ingobernables de Japon is about to get a new member. The decision came during a conversation with injured LIJ member Hiromu Takahashi. Takahashi felt the balance of the team was off, and has apparently suggested the new member. Naito did not reveal who the new member would be, but it would likely be a Junior Heavyweight wrestler that could substitute for the injured Takahashi in this October’s Super Jr. Tag Tournament.

The first thing that comes to mind from the de facto unit reform declaration is the expansion of power, that is, introduction of new members.

Naito also said that the new member would not be a temporary replacement.

If there are times to increase the number of members, I would like you to remember that it is never “just a vacancy replenishment”

A poll of 183 fans saw PAC (fka Neville) as the fan pick to join LIJ, getting 63% of the vote.

Omega Has Harsh Words For Tanahashi

Kenny Omega was interviewed by NJPW’s English website. Published Wednesday, the interview is a blistering rant of self-congratulations. Omega says that “even if I’m not the main event, I’m still gonna have the best bout because no one here comes close to what I can do.” He then threw harsh criticisms at Hiroshi Tanahashi, calling him an “old f*cker.”

They still call that old f**ker the Ace. He’ll still appear on TV, he has a movie in Japan, it’s embarrassing. Absolutely f**king embarrassing.

Omega felt that, as an outsider, he will never be appreciated for his talent. He believes that he will always have the best match on the card, regardless of who the company calls The Ace. Kenny said the emotion that he puts into his performances are second to none.

But the thing is when I watch a Tanahashi match, I feel nothing. When I show a Tanahashi match to my friends, to my father to my fans; they are f**king bored. But when I show some of my matches, they feel something in their hearts, it makes them think about something. When a Tanahashi match ends, you’ve already f**king forgotten it. I wanted matches that stay with me forever, more than 24 hours, more than one week.
