The United States of Nakamerica is stronger than ever as Rusev Day disintegrates.
Shinsuke Nakamura retained the United States Championship in a physical battle with Rusev on SmackDown Live. The result didn’t come without the shenanigans of Aiden English, who cost Rusev another opportunity with a distraction. After catching Rusev off guard by using one of Lana‘s lines on the microphone, Nakamura capitalized with a roll-up victory:

The night wasn’t over for Rusev as English proceeded to attack him from behind with the microphone, beating him repeatedly with it before leaving with the phrase, “Happy Rusev Day”:
