While it has been a little clunky in the delivery, Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship should be a fantastic match and could steal the show.
The title could go either way here and that makes for a match the crowd should be heavily involved in. The two are great in the ring and this push has really worked to elevate Becky back to Flair’s level. This match won’t end the feud as these two will go at it again in Australia before what is likely going to be a big-time match at Evolution.
While the women are strong on Tuesday’s, they have plenty of competition for compelling television on the blue brand.
Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton in the cell is going to be a great match and has had great build. Hardy was the perfect target for Orton in his return to his heel viper roll and the Charismatic Enigma is easy to cheer for in the feud. They have both played their roles, through Shinsuke Nakamura’s perfect third wheel, very well and should deliver something memorable Sunday night.
AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe felt like just another fight at first, then got heated and has now cooled a little. The match itself though is sure to be fantastic. These two have been putting on a show in the ring for nearly 20 years and it is to be expected that they will do so again at HIAC. Don’t be surprised if The Samoan Submission Machine steals the WWE Championship for a few weeks before dropping it back at Super Show-Down.
With The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan slated for a No. 1 contenders match at Show-Down, we should get a really good idea what direction Smackdown is going to move in for WrestleMania, which is hopefully for a Bryan vs. Miz payoff for the WWE Championship.
