Tenille Dashwood (Emma) Opens Up About Health Struggles, Feelings Of Shame, & Embarrassment

Tenille Dashwood, formerly known as Emma in the WWE, recently pulled out of Ring of Honor’s UK tour due to undisclosed health reasons.

Daswhood tweeted the following on August 15th:

Disappointed to say I’ve had to pull out of this weeks @ringofhonor UK tour. I was really looking forward to these shows, but will have to make it up to you all. To clarify, I am not injured. I will explain shortly what is going on for anyone interested. Thanks for understanding!

Dashwood has now revealed that she suffers from psoriasis, an oftentimes painful & debilitating skin condition.

According to Dashwood,

“I’ve fought this condition since I was 14 years old luckily having times that were much more manageable, however I have currently been battling the worst flare up to date.”

The flare up was exasperated by a recent illness and now covers her entire body.

Dashwood has attempted to keep her dates; but, the illness has become so painful that she was forced to cancel recent ROH dates.

She opens up about her battles with shame, embarrassment, and depression as well as her successes in the face of such adversity with the following tweet:
