Top 10 Current WWE Markets And Notable Moments

#8 – New Orleans, Louisiana

Roughly 79,000 people have attended 6 RAW shows and 2 Smackdown shows since 2015. This number does not include WrestleMania 2018 which was also in New Orleans. Randy Savage was revealed for the Hall of Fame in January of 2015 at the same show where Cena, Lesnar, and Rollins signed a Royal Rumble championship match contract. Later that year Rollins partook in a handicap match against J&J Security and lost thanks to Dean Ambrose interference. New Orleans prominently featured The Shield again in 2016 when Dean Ambrose held an “Ambrose Asylum” on the go-home show for MITB. It was exactly one year later to the date that New Orleans yet again hosted a MITB go-home show, this time for Smackdown. Finally, there were numerous events in 2018 as New Orleans played host to both RAW & Smackdown after WrestleMania. Coming up next for this city is a RAW show on September 10th.

#7 – Boston, Massachusetts

There have been 3 PPV’s in Boston since 2015 (TLC, HIAC, Clash of Champions) along with 3 RAW shows and 2 Smackdown shows. Nearly 88,000 people have filled the TD Garden. Brock Lesnar made his return to Smackdown in 2016, continuing his criticized feud with Dean Ambrose that many fans considered a disappointment. Boston played host to the first ever Female Hell in a Cell match in 2016 when Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks in the main event to capture back the championship. The go-home show for Summerslam 2017 was in Boston and the end featured a standoff/brawl between Strowman & Lesnar. Just last month Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins in a go-home show for Extreme Rules. Boston was originally scheduled to host TLC again this year, but the event was cancelled and is now a live show.
