Shortly after R-Truth made his WWE in-ring return on Smackdown Live, he posted a few photos revealing the nature of the surgeries that kept him out of action.
Truth competed against Samoa Joe on this week’s show, but the only other match he had been in was the Greatest Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia earlier this year. Truth did confirm last year he needed surgery, but the seriousness of the injuries were not known until the WWE star posted photos (warning: graphic) of his shoulders:

As noted by a post on WWE.com, besides his appearance in the Greatest Royal Rumble match, Truth had not competed in any other matches since he faced off with Elias back in August of 2017.
