Dolph Ziggler was a guest on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast recently and revealed that he almost made his main roster debut as Kurt Angle’s protege. Before he made his debut with the Spirit Squad, Ziggler was told by a WWE official that he was being considered to be a protege of Kurt Angle because of his military haircut and amateur wrestling background. However, four weeks later, Ziggler made his debut as a male cheerleader as part of the spirit squad.
