Eddie Edwards sat down with Robert DeFelice of WrestleZone to talk about a multitude of topics including Impact Wrestling selling out Slammiversary, his House Of Hardcore Rules Match With Tommy Dreamer, his current relationship with his wife Alisha, his bitter rivalry with Sami Callihan, and where he sees himself in 5 years.

Robert: What’s the temperature like right now in the Impact Wrestling with all of the wonderful things that are happening for that brand?

Eddie: It feels great and it’s so exciting. Speaking for myself I know I’m so excited to go out there and perform on Sunday. One of the great things about Impact right now, everybody’s on the same page and we all have that pressure to put on the best performance we can. It’s put up or shut up time. This is a pay-per-view, this is a sold-out show, and this is the time to show everybody what impact wrestling is all about and leave it all in the ring.

Robert: This is going to be at the Rebel Complex in Toronto Canada. Have you ever performed there before?

Eddie: No I have not but I’ve heard a lot of great things about it so I’m looking forward to it and we also have the two nights of TV afterward.

Robert: So, let’s talk about your match. You have a House of Hardcore Rules Match with the Innovator Of Violence Tommy Dreamer and you guys have been doing some pretty intense stuff on Impact TV for the build to this. What are you feeling going into that match with Tommy?

Eddie: I feel *laughs* like there’s gonna be pain and there’s going to be bumps, bruises and there’s probably going to be a little bit of blood. This is a situation where I’ll do anything I have to to win and I know it’s going to hurt and I’m okay with that because we’ve built to this. Expect the unexpected. I don’t even know what to expect. Like we’ve said this is a big show this is Slammiversary and we’re gonna leave it out there.

Robert: Now, are you looking for a definitive beatdown of Tommy Dreamer and a 1-2-3, or do you want to make him tap, make him say I quit?

Eddie: I don’t really care how I do it. I’m just gonna go out there and hurt him and if he’s down and he can’t stand up, great. I just wanna get my hand raised.

Robert: Somebody else in Impact Wrestling that you have bad blood with is Sami Callihan. He’s got a major match on Sunday, Mask vs. Hair against Pentagon Jr. Is [Sami] in the rearview mirror for you now?

Eddie: He’s never in the rearview for me, he thinks it’s over but it’s not. I’ll be watching that match very closely.

Robert – You said you were traveling with Moose today, he’s got the big world title match on Sunday. Where does the Impact Wrestling World championship rank in importance for you? Is that your next big goal or are you still more focused on personal issues?

Eddie: Well for right now, I have these personal issues but the World Championship is always a goal of mine. That’s why we get into this business to become World Champion.
