Kurt Angle got an answer from Paul Heyman, and Brock Lesnar will (finally) make his WWE TV return at Summerslam.
Angle started the show by saying he was stripping Lesnar of the title, but Heyman cut Angle off and tried to reason with him. Heyman ended up saying Brock cares very much about being Universal Champion, and he wants to challenge for the UFC Heavyweight Championship while reigning as a WWE champion. Angle seemed unfazed by Heyman’s remarks, and said Lesnar will be defending the title at Summerslam, or he loses the title.
Heyman reluctantly agreed to the match, saying a congratulations is due to the WWE Universe, and said now Brock needs another victim to conquer. Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Roman Reigns and Elias all came to the ring and made their case for a match, and Angle said they would all compete for a chance at the Summerslam title match. The two triple threats announced will be:
- Finn Balor vs Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns
- Bobby Lashley vs Seth Rollins vs Elias
The winners of each match will face off next week, and the winner will face Lesnar at Summerslam.
