Prediction by Ivan Barrera
I’m not jumping on the anti-Reigns bandwagon because I used to be such a big fan. But his prototypical down the middle persona has me bored to death. You have so many more talented guys on the roster than Reigns that could utilize his spot much better. And Bobby Lashley isn’t one of them. I’m not majorly pumped for this match. I hope WWE doesn’t have this one closing, they could end up receiving negative backlash like Reigns vs Joe did at Backlash (hah!). That said, I think Reigns wins here, seems to be the same song again.
Prediction: Reigns wins via pinfall with a Spear, then they shake hands
Prediction by Dominic DeAngelo
If this is headlining the show like it’s rumored to be then it’s going to be eaten alive by us Pittsburghers (I however will maintain the role of stoic, impartial journalist). The blowback may pack a similar punch as the Mania main event did, but the result for Reigns won’t be the same. If Vince hasn’t given up on Reigns yet, he’s not going to before his second biggest show of the year, especially when Brock’s pushing other champions that aren’t on his shows. See you at SummerSlam, Big Dog (said in “too excited Michael Cole” voice)!
Winner: Reigns via pinfall.
Prediction by Geoffrey Rowland
The biggest intrigue here is if they finally put Strowman on last like they should. Samoa Joe, Jinder Mahal, Bobby Lashley. Big Dog keeps eating.
Prediction: Reigns via pinfall.
Prediction by Sean Mikhail
You can’t rule out the possibility of an interference, double countout, or some type of no contest, but with so many ongoing conflicts including a claim for the Universal Title, Reigns will likely pick up a big victory.
Prediction: Roman Reigns wins
Prediction by Ryan Anderson
Bobby Lashley is to WWE to Lane Kiffin is to NCAA Football. He keeps getting opportunities, doesn’t meet expectations, and then finds a better scenario. This feud has been lacking in substance until their pull apart brawl on RAW. This match screams Vince McMahons vision, as both guys have struggled to achieve fan approval, yet are continually put in main event spots. I think that Bobby Lashley gets the win here and Roman Reigns works his tail off to make Bobby Lashley look like a credible challenger to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. I can’t envision a scenario where we are supposed to invest in Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar III when Roman has lost the last two events. If nothing else Bobby Lashley would be a different opponent for Brock Lesnar to put on a subpar performance with.
Winner: Bobby Lashley.
