Dolph Ziggler was recently a guest on Lilian Garcia’s podcast, Chasing Glory. During the podcast, Ziggler revealed the story of what happened when he first met Bobby Lashley at his OVW try out where Lashley himself was trying out. After meeting at a car rental place and introducing themselves, they decided to do the tryout together which resulted in WWE hiring Lashley and not Ziggler. Ziggler added that seeing the way Lashley was built, like a granite action figure, even he wasn’t surprised WWE went with Lashley.
Ziggler revealed that he did better at his second OVW tryout and ended up getting hired himself.
