TMZ recently caught up with Ronda Rousey, and she spoke about the Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar confrontation from this past weekend.
Rousey said she probably won’t watch them fight due to both of them being good friends of hers:
You know, both of them are friends of mine, so I don’t want to pick sides. I can’t get involved on that one. That one will be hard to watch; I probably won’t watch it. I hate watching friends of mine fight, it’s heart wrenching.
Rousey did say Cormier is the top fighter today, but explained why she wouldn’t give him GOAT status:
Saying ‘right now’ and GOAT is contradictory because one’s all-time and one’s right now. It doesn’t make sense for him to be the ‘GOAT right now.’
I think right now he’s the best in the game right now. He’s the most well-rounded, Olympic team captain—you don’t get [yourself] in that type of position with nothing.
