Kurt Angle has had an illustrious wrestling career, having held several championships and accolades to his name. He has been a one-time WCW Champion, one-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and held the WWE Championship four times. He headlined WrestleMania and is a Grand Slam champion as well. Despite having a successful career in the WWE, Angle would leave the company to join TNA in 2006.

The Olympic Gold Medalist would spend his time in TNA wrestling many greats such as AJ Styles, Sting, Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett to name a few.

After wrestling in TNA from 2006 to 2016 and holding several titles there, Angle returned to the WWE last year and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He joined the company by taking the role of general manager of Raw on April 3.

The Olympic Hero held a Q&A on his Facebook page recently, and a fan asked him whether he regrets leaving WWE for TNA early on in his career.

“I can’t,” Angle wrote. “I had a great career in TNA, maybe better than my WWE career. I had a reduced schedule there. And I wrestled so many greats AJ, Joe, Sting, Roode…To name a few. My body couldn’t hold up to the rigorous schedule in WWE at the time. I always imagine the career I could have had if I stayed in WWE. It would have been incredible, but I couldn’t stay so I can’t keep asking myself ‘What if?'”

Even though Kurt is the GM of Raw, he has competed in several matches in WWE since his return. Kurt teamed up with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to face The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane in a 5-on-3 handicap Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at the TLC PPV in October.

The next month, Angle was in the Survivor Series elimination match as the Raw Team’s captain.

This year, Angle has competed in two matches so far. He teamed up with Ronda Rousey and faced Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 34, and was the number 16th entrant in the 50-man Royal Rumble match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
