Vince McMahon intends to make the XFL the premier football league in the country, and to do so he will be investing quite a lot. Many people remember that Vince sold a $100 Million of his stock in WWE to begin funding the league but as it turns out that was only the beginning. In an interview with ESPN, Oliver Luck, newly appointed league CEO said the following:

People were focused on the $100 million, but the truth is that doesn’t even get us to the 20-yard line.

The biggest costs will be player and coach salaries with Luck going on to say that the average salary will be around $75,000, an increase of about $30,000 from the original league in 2001. It has also been revealed that even before announcing the relaunch of the XFL, Vince McMahon secured insurance for the players. While no details have been revealed about how much coverage the league will have it was said that insurance premiums will cost around $10 Million a year.
