WWE posted the following video revealing Shinsuke Nakamura will not compete on Smackdown due to injury.
The previous United States Championship match will now be changed to an open challenge by Jeff Hardy. WWE did not reveal any more details about the injury to Nakamura, but did update the preview for tonight’s show:
A major change has been made to tonight’s SmackDown LIVE.
Shinsuke Nakamura suffered an injury last night and will not be able to compete in the United States Championship Match against Jeff Hardy previously scheduled for tonight’s show.
However, The Charismatic Enigma will not be taking the night off; he will be defending the star-spangled title in a United States Championship Open Challenge.
