Jinder Mahal was recently on the cover of the South Asian magazine Darpan and opened up to them about his success in the WWE.

Referencing his release from the WWE in 2014, Jinder said that it was the best thing that happened to him as it taught him to never take anything for granted and to keep putting in a 100% to get back into the company.

He spoke at length about his journey from wrestling in front of crowds of 10 people to winning the US Championship in front of 78,000 people at WrestleMania 34, adding that he wants to experience many more such moments in his career.

Mahal also detailed the differences between his brash and loud on-screen character and how humble and soft spoken he really is as a person, before going on to speak about how important it is for him to represent Sikh culture and tradition and to be a role model for Punjabi children the world over that they too can achieve whatever they want to.
