MVP Speaks Out On NFL Anthem Decision
Former WWE Superstar MVP recently commented on the NFL’s controversial new rule that will penalize players who do not stand for the National Anthem:
So let me get this straight. YOU fly & venerate the Confederate battle flag. The flag of TRAITORS to the United States of America. The flag of those who sought to DESTROY the Union. The globally adopted flag of racists.
But those who kneel during the national anthem offend you??— MVP (@The305MVP) May 24, 2018
After a ‘fan’ criticized MVP’s stance, the former WWE Superstar tweeted:
And to you I say sir, If the flag and national anthem stand for freedom, what about the freedom of those who choose not to stand? For honorable reasons I might add.@HighShaman @JamilSmith @NFL @RollingStone

You are offended by their refusal to stand for the national anthem. But you are NOT offended by the disproportionate victims of police brutality and murder? Usually carried out with zero accountability or consequences?

After receiving more backlash, MVP continued and elaborated on the personal cost of speaking out:
I use my platform to speak out. Costing me bookings. I speak at prisons and to at risk youth. I do many things I don't publicize. I'm thrilled you earned a degree. Now go do something with it. I'll be here for you to attack when you have more ground to stand on.@bondfiles_inc
