The Wrap is reporting WWE Smackdown Live will be moving to a new night when it debuts on FOX in 2019.
According to the report, Smackdown would premiere on FOX on Friday nights when it moves to the network in October of 2019. News of the FOX / WWE deal was announced by several outlets including ESPN earlier today.
It was noted that WWE has agreed to the deal with FOX in principle; USA Network will continue to air RAW. If the move goes through, Smackdown would return to the Friday night slot that it aired in (on The CW / MyNetwork / Syfy / USA Network) from 2005 – 2015.
Currently, FOX has the following programs on their Friday night schedule for this season:
8-8:30: “Last Man Standing”
8:30-9: “The Cool Kids”
9-10: “Hell’s Kitchen”
