The Rock revealed his favorite wrestling era to be the 1970’s while responding to a video on Twitter of the Iron Sheikh throwing a fireball at the referee during his match with the late great Jackie Fargo:
You can actual FEEL the tension and energy in the arenas across the country in the 70’s during matches like this when a large majority of fans believed the business was real. Very special and unique time in the biz. My favorite era in pro wrestling – 1970’s
