From The List of Jericho to his activity in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Chris Jericho’s career has reached new heights since 2016. Jumping back and forth from WWE to NJPW, Jericho was able to unlock some truly entertaining characters and continue to show the world why he’s the best. Let’s explore Jericho’s latest tenure with WWE, discuss the sensational work he’s doing for the NJPW product this year and why his most recent wrestling run has been his absolute best.

The List of Jericho

Chris Jericho’s last lengthy WWE run caught steam in mid-2016 when he befriended Kevin Owens. The pair would go on to be a consistently entertaining duo each and every week until their eventual breakup at the infamous Festival of Friendship. In that long span of time, Jericho introduced The List of Jericho, which brought Jericho to a level he’s been at only so many times.

Not since his pompous suit-wearing character in 2008 have we seen such an incredible character from Chris Jericho. Forever innovating his craft, Jericho ensured that the list was essentially the most over thing on Monday Night Raw for the better part of six months.

Jericho and Owens had their blow off match at WrestleMania 33, which did not meet many fans expectations. However, it would be one of the last major matches Jericho would have in WWE before coming back for an entrance in the Greatest Royal Rumble this year.

His most recent WWE run was one of his best, and he would take that energy, double it, and take it right over to New Japan Pro Wrestling in early 2018.
