The Young Bucks Comment On A Possible WWE Run
Nick and Matt Jackson, better known as The Young Bucks, were recent guests on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast. Jericho asked the tandem if they, at some point, would consider going to the WWE:
Nick Jackson: It’s always going to be a question, no matter what. No matter how big we get it will always be a question that lingers on our career…it will always be a question: the way we are going now, we could retire in five years.
Matt Jackson: We could literally quit tomorrow and do something else because we have enough saved at this point.
Jericho pressed The Bullet Club members and recounted only signing with WCW because WWE wasn’t calling. He then asked, if the WWE was a goal?
Nick Jackson: At this point, it’s not a goal
Matt Jackson: Remember with AJ? It was the same thing. AJ was like, ‘I never have to go.” Then he got a call and it worked out.
Nick Jackson: 2.5 years ago he told us he’d never go. I always tell Matt this and I tell my family this too… If tomorrow was my last match and I can’t wrestle again after that I’d be so happy with what we’ve done now.
Matt Jackson: We built an empire. The Young Bucks brand: what else could I want? That literally would be the last missing thing would be going there [to WWE] and doing a run.
The Young Bucks elaborated on the infamous WWE invasion, WWE’s cease and desist letter, and more. Fans interested in listening to Talk is Jericho in its entirety may do so HERE.
