Smackdown Live Preview & Discussion: Daniel Bryan On Miz TV, Uso v Rowan, Asuka’s SD Debut, More
The following editorial was written by Danny Cage and does not reflect the thoughts and feelings of WrestleZone as a whole.
It’s now Tuesday afternoon. Finally had time to soak it all in. Collect my thoughts. Reflect. Plus vent so I don’t say anything I & they might regret. What am I talking about? I am talking about The Monster Factory Super Camp! A two day training session I began a few years ago.
The camp began Friday at noon. Coaches Les Thatcher, Tom Prichard, Shane Helms, Rudy Gonzalez, and Ricky Reyes all had different things to offer. All took different paths along the way to having careers in Professional Wrestling. There is no one way to make it. That is why I began these camps. Actually one of many reasons. One other reason is the networking. We had over fifty participants show up for our camp. Colorado, Florida, Texas, New York, Illinois, Canada, & everywhere in between. One of the hardest things to do when you get started is branching out and getting bookings in different states and federations. What better way to get out there than by training with and getting connected to those that can make it that much easier?
I’d like to brag & say these camps aren’t for selfish reasons but they are…in a way. They are also to show off our facility, our training, & above all our students! A way to bring people to us. To showcase what we have to offer. Much like the LIVE feed of training we do right here every Tuesday on WrestleZone at 10pm est. (Cheap Pop!) But seriously, some just don’t get it. They don’t see how important things like this can be for their careers in Professional Wrestling. Some of our students took advantage of the camp & the extremely discounted price they pay. Others did not. I’m okay with that. I was not at first. I was so disappointed that I was not mad. Then that turned to anger some hours after. Because I saw spots where our missing students would have killed it. What nugget of wisdom would have helped them. What road or back stage story told by one of the coaches could help them down the line. But for what ever reason it was missed. Mostly because of pride, ego, and poor planning. I learned from this camp too. I learned I can only worry about the ones that will do whatever it takes to make it!
