New Japan Pro Wednesday (4/18) CHAOS Responds To WWE, Kevin Kelly Hypes Wrestling Dontaku, Bone Soldier History, More

Katsuyori Shibata Posts About New Japan LA Dojo

Katsuyori Shibata, former-NEVER Openweight Champion & current head trainer of the New Japan LA Dojo, posted to the New Japan website. In it he makes mention of finding “three samurais” at the Dojo, “samurai” meaning trainees with true potential. No word yet on who the three “samurais” are, but clearly three is not enough. Shibata says he’s “looking for samurai with a strong heart, fiery spirit, and a tough body. Are you the one?”

CHAOS Members Respond To WWE

WWE aired promos for the faction Sanity on Tuesday, saying that “Chaos is coming to WWE.” This led to confusion from CHAOS member & IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay. CHAOS leader and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada made it clear that “actually [CHAOS is] in Japan right now.”

Kevin Kelly Hypes Wrestling Dontaku Tour

New Japan’s english play-by-play commentator Kevin Kelly updated his A View From Ringside column with a preview of the remaining Wrestling Dontaku tour shows. While Kelly will not be providing English commentary for the Road To Wrestling Dontaku shows, he took the time to preview the title matches on the Road To shows, including Jay White‘s IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship defense against David Finlay, and Juice Robinson‘s match against NEVER Openweight Champion Hirooki Goto.

The column can be read HERE.

Of the upcoming Bullet Club vs. Bullet Club matches scheduled for Wrestling Dontaku, Kelly had this to say:

Matches within factions are rare in New Japan. Title matches within factions are even more rare. On May 3rd, Bullet Club members The Young Bucks and “The Villain” Marty Scurll take on fellow Bullet Club mates Bad Luck Fale and the Guerrillas of Destiny for the NEVER Openweight Six Men Tag Team Championship. In the main event, Kenny Omega meets Hangman Page in a grudge match going back to January 29th in Sapporo. What will Bullet Club look like following this tour?

NJPWWorld.com will carry the 4/23, 4/24 & 4/27  Road To Wrestling Dontaku shows, as well as Wrestling Dontaku on 5/3 & 5/4.

Kojima Update

The leader of Bread Club had the following to say:

Good evening. After the morning, I went to the beauty salon from the afternoon and practiced. The lower body is only the main movement of rehabilitation yet, but the upper body is able to move completely before it is missed. I will work hard to encourage your words.
