Dave Meltzer’s Five Star Matches For 2018 So Far
Dave Meltzer is arguably best known for his ratings system, with the most elusive rating being a six plus star, achieved several times last year between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada.
While there have been no official six star classics yet, 2018 has already seen several five star bouts including:
- Two from the last NXT TakeOver: New Orleans (6-Way Ladder Match and Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa).
- NXT TakeOver Philadelphia’s Andrade “Cien” Almas vs Johnny Gargano
- The top rated non-NXT WWE match went to the WrestleMania 34 Mixed Tag Team Match between Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. That bout received a commendable 4.25 stars.
