Happy Friday of Honor!
WrestleZone Radio has just released our interview with former ROH owner Cary Silkin that was recorded a few hours before Supercard of Honor XII!
You can listen to the full interview in the embedded player at the top of this post or via WrestleZone Radio on iTunes.
Some highlights from Cary’s interview have been transcribed in this post.
On what he sees as the next big step for Ring of Honor:
CS: It would be nice, and this is out of my hands, but I would like it if ROH TV was live. That might happen. Let’s not bullsh*t here, live TV is important. The company that bought ROH from me is taking baby steps and ultimately live TV is something, in this day and age, that you need. We are heading in that direction.
On the influence that ROH currently has on the broader pro wrestling landscape:
CS: Let me put it this way, NXT and 205 Live… I think that all came out of ROH. Would it have happened without Ring of Honor? Probably, but we helped a lot. They’ve had their eyes on us going back and they still do.
On how he feels about The Young Bucks and Cody running their own show, outside of ROH, and going “All In”:
CS: God bless them. More power to them. They are Ring of Honor signed guys and it’s just better for the whole product and the whole wrestling world. It’s good stuff.
