Which Match Should Start WrestleMania 34?

Heading into WrestleMania 34, the lineup is pretty much set as it is. Sure, there is a chance John Cena and The Undertaker go at it, and the card is always subject to change, but there shouldn’t be too many drastic alterations and surprises to happen with the overall outline of what we’re working with.

Knowing what is mostly in store for us, it’s hard to determine the best means of structuring all of these matches in the most advantageous way possible to keep the audience engaged for what could end up being seven hours of content.

There have to be bathroom breaks and lulls in the action, just as there have to be highlights to look forward to toward the end as well as peppered throughout, rather than making all of the main events happen last and starting from the bottom to the top.

At the moment, all we know for sure is that WWE has set forth the trio of matches that will comprise the pre-show: the Cruiserweight Championship match and the two battle royals.

After those matches are done and the panel has finished giving their analysis, the video packages have aired and America the Beautiful has ushered in the official start of the main card, what match should get the ball rolling?

Before determining that, we have to look at the card and try to take into account WWE’s previous booking of WrestleMania, their personal preferences and what each segment is intended to do.
