Shinsuke Nakamura and Jim Ross recently spoke with NOLA.com; you can read a few highlights below:
Nakamura comments on his relationship with AJ Styles:
“AJ Styles is a special person for me. I really respect him. When I see him in the ring, backstage, in the locker room, he is different. I want to be different than others. I have created my own style. He has his own style.”
Nakamura says he hasn’t shown his true self in WWE yet:
“I think I haven’t shown my 100 percent yet. So I want to show my 100 percent to the world at WrestleMania. AJ Styles is a tough guy. So if want to beat AJ Styles, I have to bring 100 percent Shinsuke Nakamura.”
Jim Ross comments on calling Nakamura vs Styles in Japan:
“I’ve called that match for New Japan. I’ve seen this match. It’s amazing. Their chemistry is off the page. They have the magic. … They are going to do all they can to steal the show.”
Ross says Wrestlemania 34 will show fans what Nakamura is really capable of:
“I am a major Shinsuke Nakamura fan. I like his work, but I liked his work (before) more than some of his WWE work. I think what’s going to happen in this match in New Orleans is that win, lose or draw, people are going to say, ‘I had no idea that Nakamura was that good.’ He’s a legitimate bad-ass.”
