WWE NXT Results (4/4) The Undisputed Era Crashes the Dusty Classic Finals, Final Hype for Takeover New Orleans!

During an update on the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Charly Caruso tells us that one-half of the NXT tag team champions have suffered a knee injury and is not medically cleared to compete at Takeover.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals: The Authors of Pain w/Paul Ellering vs Roderick Strong and UK Champion Pete Dunne

As soon as the bell rings Akam tosses Strong clear across the ring. Strong lands a chop and backs into his corner. Strong tags in Dunne. Akam clinches Dunne. Dunne lands a few punches to the gut but Akam leads him around the ring by his head. After a short break, Akam and Rezar are beating down Dunne in the corner. Dunne tries to fight back but Akam blast him with hammer fist after hammer fist. Akam puts Dunne in a neck vise. Dunne gets his foot on the rope. Rezar tags in and continues the assault. Dunne tries to fire up but Rezar knees Dunne in the chest, which drops Dunne like a sack of bricks. AOP hit the Demolition stomp off the second rope. Dunne kicks out. Akam picks Dunne up. Dunne grabs Akam’s fingers and snaps them. Dunne kicks Akam in the knee. Dunne tags in Strong. Strong knees Akam off the apron, then knees Rezar in the face.

Strong hits the ropes elbows Rezar over and over again. A dropkick from Strong drops Rezar. Strong Olympic Slams Rezar for a near fall. Strong and done blast Rezar with kicks in the corner. Dunne hits a double foot stomp off the top to Rezar’s back. Dunne puts Rezar in a triangle. Rezar picks up Dunne and tags in Akam. The AOP hits a combo neck breaker. Strong breaks up the pin. Dunne tags in Strong and they hit the double Bitter End on Rezar. Akam breaks up the pin. Strong and Dunne hit a combo high knee/enziguri on Akam, then do the same to Rezar. Strong and Dunne hits the ropes but runs right into a big boot and a clothesline from each member of AOP. The Undisputed Era hits the ring and attacks the AOP and Strong and Dunne to cause a double disqualification.

Winner- No contest

William Regal comes out on the stage. Regal tells Cole and O’Reilly that they are pretty smart. They think since Bobby Fish is injured if there is no winner tonight they wouldn’t have to defend the title at Takeover: New Orleans. Regal says they are smart but not smart enough. Regal books Undisputed Era vs the Authors of Pain vs Dunne and Strong. The winner of that match will be the winner of the Dusty Classic and the NXT tag team champions.
