Title for Title Match: Impact Champion Austin Aries vs Impact Grand Champion Matt Sydal/Josh Mathews
Sydal gives Mathews the X-Division title to hold. Aries and Sydal trade submission attempts. Alberto El Patron is in the back eating a steak watching the match with a huge smile on his face. I guess it’s a really, really good steak. Aries almost locks in the Last Chancery but Sydal escapes and rolls out of the ring. Aries almost hit his head scissor escape dropkick but Sydal avoids it. Aries rolls through on a sunset flip attempt by Sydal and lands a dropkick for a near fall. After the break, Aries drives Sydal into each turnbuckle head first. Leaping knee drop by Aries for a near fall. Flying forearm to the back by Aries. Sydal kicks out again. Aries sends Sydal to the outside. Aries sets up a dive but Sydal cuts him off with a spinning heel kick. Sydal hits a huge lariat in the corner. Sliding knee int he corner by Sydal. Sydal tries to pin Aries but Aries is too close to the ropes. Sydal gets upset but Sydal eventually calms himself. Sydal tries a standing moonsault but Aries gets his knees up. Sydal catches Aries with a boot. Sydal goes for a springboard but Aries sweeps his leg.
Sydal lands back first on the second rope. Aries hits an ax handle off the top to the outside. Corner dropkick by Aries. Aries tries the Brain Buster but Sydal knees Aries in the head. Sydal counters into a final cut for another two count. Sydal kicks Aries in the chest over and over again. Aries and Sydal trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Aries misses the Discus Five Arm. Sydal destroys Aries with a seated German. Knee breaker into a suplex by Aries. Sydal rolls out of the ring. Aries goes for another dive but Mathews grabs his leg. While Aries is distracted Sydal knees Aries in the head. Aries bounces off the ropes an hits the Discus Five Arm. Aries tries to DVD Sydal on the apron. Mathews distracts Aries. Aries his a neck breaker on the second rope. Aries goes up top. Mathews gets on the apron. Petey Williams runs to ringside and pulls Mathews off the apron. Sydal misses the shooting star press but lands on his feet. Aries hits a sick dropkick in the corner, followed by a Brain Buster for the win!
