Tonight marks the end of the New Japan Cup. The annual single-elimination tournament has been running since 3/9. Tonight’s main event will see Hiroshi Tanahashi face off against Zack Sabre Jr. The show is set to begin at 2am EST and will be broadcast LIVE on NJPWWorld.com.
FIRST MATCH: Shota Umino vs. Tetsuhiro Yagi
They lock up quick. Yagi gets Umino againts the ropes, and doesn’t breaks clean. Umino gets Yagi to the rope and both men exchange strikes furiously. Yagi gets the advantage and corners Umino. Umino counters and pummels Yagi. Yagi fights back. Yagi hits a european uppercut and stomps away on Umino. Umino fights back and hits a corner running elbow. Umino hits a hiptoss for two,

Oka advances on Taichi in the corner, but the ref backs him off. Oka advances on Taichi again and pummels him with forearms to the back. Oka drops Taichi with a shoulder and then stomps away on him. Oka tries to slam Taichi but Taichi fights out and hits a gut kick. Taichi hits a snapmare/back kick combo. Taichi continues to treat Oka’s torso like a soccer ball until Oka rolls out of the ring. Taichi batters Oka at ringside and then rolls him into the ring. Taichi locks in an Elevated Single Leg Crab. Oka fights to the ropes.
Taichi tauntingly kicks at Oka. Taichi drops Oka with a standing kick. Oka hits an Arm-trap Belly To Belly. Oka hits a corner splash and a Gutwrench Suplex for two.
Taichi dodges a corner splash with an Enziguri. Taichi rips off his pants. Oka counters the Buzzsaw Kick with a Spinebuster for two.

Yujiro hits Henare with a walking stick, while Fale chokes Makabe with a chair. Henare gets dropped on the barricade and then rolled in the ring.
Tanga Loa tags in. Tanga Loa pummels Henare. Tanga Loa hits a Running Powerslam for two.
Tanga Loa keeps Henare grounded with a Side Headlock. Henare fights to the ropes.
Fale tags in and stands on Henare. Tanga Loa gets a cheap shot in on Henare. Henare tries to fight back with headbutts. Fale misses a corner splash. Makabe tags in and clears the apron. Makabe hits mounted punches on Fale. Makabe hits a Lariat for two.
Fale goes for the Grenade but Makabe fights out. Fale hits a Samoan Drop. Tanga Loa tags. Henare tags in.
Henare and Tanga exchange strikes. Henare hits a shoulder tackle. Hanare hits a Spear. Makabe and Elgin get in the ring and everyone beats up Tanga Loa. Hanre hits a top rope Shoulder Tackle, but the pin is broken by Bullet Club.
Henare goes for the Samoan Drop. Tanga Loa fights out and hits a hiptoss. Tanga Loa goes for Apeshit but Michael Elgin breaks it up. A brawl erupts. Tanga Loa hits a Spinebuster for two. Tanga Loa hits Apeshit for the pinfall.
