On the Sami Callihan–Eddie Edwards Ball Bat Incident:

JI: I’ll start by saying that this ain’t ballet. Any time you step into the ring everyone in this business is aware that an injury could occur. That being said, if I was Eddie Edwards, I would be blind with rage at what Sami Callihan did and stop at nothing to get vengeance. I’d say the best way for that may be an eye for an eye.

Is there a place for what Sami did? This is the pro wrestling business, is there a place for anything? Is there a place for everything? That’s a subjective question. In my opinion I would be pissed if it happened to me and I would try to whip his ass. That’s exactly what Eddie Edwards is going to do.

On the morale and vibe in the Impact locker room right now:

JI: I feel like the vibe of the locker room is excited. It feels like a new place. Moose, Eddie Edwards, Matt Sydal, Ishimori, Sami Callihan, Brian Cage and me… it feels like a brand new promotion. Impact carries with it some negative connotations from the past but the people and the management and a lot of the stuff that’s associated with those negative connotations aren’t there anymore. As for the locker room… it’s an awesome locker room. It’s a real fun, positive place to be and from my experience that kind of locker room breeds the most entertaining wrestling.
