Former Impact X-Division Champ Says ‘WWE Is The Goal’
Former IMPACT X-Division Champion Taiji Ishimori announced yesterday on Instagram that he has given his resignation to Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he has wrestled since 2006. Japanese wrestling insider Chris Charlton tweeted a translation on Twitter of a recent interview Ishimori did, saying the following.
Taiji Ishimori left NOAH saying if he didn’t take a big step now, he’ll regret it forever.

There has been speculation about Ishimori’s future with IMPACT now as well, since it is believed he wrestled for the company through a talent sharing agreement with NOAH. In an interview with Nikkan Sports following his NOAH exit, the cruiser weight said he was inspired by Japanese wrestlers like Shinsuke Nakamura who made the leap to WWE. “WWE is the goal” he said in the interview.
