Shane McMahon made two huge announcements on WWE Smackdown Live, and ended up getting beaten up by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for his troubles.
Shane closed the show by announcing he was stepping down as Commissioner of Smackdown Live, saying Daniel Bryan would return next week. As for his last official ruling, he announced Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens would face each other at Wrestlemania 34. Owens and Zayn came out to criticize the decision, and said they wanted to give him something as a ‘going away’ present of sorts.
The pair ambushed Shane and attacked him in the ring, then wrapped a chair around his neck and slammed it into the ringpost. Sami and Kevin then dragged Shane backstage and threw him into some equipment, then continued the attack and powerbombed him on an equipment trunk as agents ran in to break it up.
