John Cena on Rob Gronkowski going to WWE: “He’d Be A Perfect Fit”

The 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena was on the hype trail to promote his upcoming hosting duties at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, and was asked  by Sports Illustrated about the rumors about current New England Patriots star Ron Gronkowski making the leap into the WWE ring.

“If Gronkowski wants to come on board, I think he’d be a perfect fit,” Cena said. “He does not lack in the energy department, so I think he’d be just fine.”

Gronkowski has a very public friendship with current WWE superstar and former NFL player Mojo Rawley. This friendship played out when ‘Gronk’ got physically invovled in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania a few years ago. Gronk’s tackling interference helped his buddy Rawley take home the big win in the multi-man match.

Gronkowski reportedly has two-years left on his current contract with the Patriots.
