On his run in Legacy alongside Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes:

TD: That was one of the best times of my life. I love those guys. I love Cody, he became like a brother to me and I am so excited for his success. He embodies the discipline and commitment it takes to be on top. It was hard for us growing up in the shadows of our fathers and trying to make a name for ourselves. There’s a lot of battles we had to face individually and being with him, he’d had a year on the road before I got there, he was just incredible with the way he brought me in. To partner and tag with him and have some of the runs that we did with DX, Randy and Legacy. I will treasure that for the rest of my life. Cody will go back to WWE and be a World Champion. He deserves everything he is getting. Randy is just Randy. He’s been a legend since day one and he is still a legend.

On the decision to crown him the Million Dollar Champion:

TD: That came up the day of WrestleMania 26 and Michael Hayes was the one who approached me with that idea and I was like, “No, no, no… please keep that belt away from me.” There was really no direction. It really hadn’t been talked about, “what is going to happen after the implosion of Legacy?” I would’ve liked to have seen us go a little bit further and not broken up so quickly. I think we needed a little more time. That wasn’t something I wanted to do because it wasn’t really an extension of who I am. I was still trying to figure out who I was. Who is Ted DiBiase? The son of “The Million Dollar Man” but not that guy. I tried to run a little bit with the “DiBiase Posse” and they didn’t really get behind it much.

On if he is getting the itch to have another run as a pro wrestler:

TD: I’ve always got the spandex and the boots on! They just stay on! I live in them! For me, I told Mark Henry the other day, “I can’t say never.” For me, with my life, it’d be different this time. It wouldn’t be chasing a dream. My dream is to use my platform that God has given me to glorify him and to help people. To live a life of purpose and help add value to other people’s lives.
